We think this every time we order from Amazon. In our small mountain community where we live, many people commute an hour to work at an Amazon fulfillment center. They all are so excited when they are hired, they will make $14 per hour plus medical benefits. It sounds like a dream job compared to working at a local diner. As reality sets in, they become exhausted with the unreasonable amount hours they add last minute, lack of air conditioning in most facilities, and lack of human care they really do provide for their employees.
